Hello, this is a semi-successful update of a previously failed chracter head rotation test. There are still a lot of awkward kinks I haven't been able to resolve. (Such as the neck and the back hair..) So, critiques and instructions are warmly welcomed. I have several stories for pixel art webcomics plotted out but unfortunately, I haven't had the execution know-how up to until recently. This is my male RPG protagonist, so please do give me some feedback on first impressions and suitability for webcomics, etc. as well. Thanks!

I'm actually pretty impressed that you could rotate such a complex hairstyle.

Johnny Bravo all the way :)
The rotation in itself looks great, good job on keeping the consistency on the facial features and hair. There's an issue with the rotation of the lower part of the neck, the slanted part, in the frames where we're looking at the back of the head: the transition between these seems to pop brusquely.
My main crit are about the colors, they're a bit too saturated. You can get a nice cartoony effect by keeping a few saturated colors, and desaturating others, like keeping the most used color saturated, and progessively (or randomly) desaturating the lighter and darker shades. The skin looks good, but give it a shot.
Would look nice to see more frames on the animation too, and it would be a nice exercise for you, but that's just a suggestion, not really a crit in itself.

Thanks Lawrence!  That's what I've been suspecting too actually. However, the forty-five degree view is actually quite difficult to draw with my scale I think.. I have tried in the past but have had no luck with matching the 3/4th shot with the other caricatures.  (It just looks weird somehow..) Also, I don't believe I have seen any successful examples in this scale range either.. Any thoughts? Anyone?

If he had shades, he'd look just like Jonny Bravo, heheh.
I think the second and last frames (the ones before and after he is facing the front) in those frames he's facing too much towards the front still, they don't look like he's at 45 degrees away from the front, which is where he should be facing.
