Damn thats good. Really captured the scene well.
Definate fav.

If i have to complain about something it has to be the bars in the ceiling. They could use some aa.

Very niece peice, i love this scene.
The only thing that i can think now is that i think you should change their skin tone.

T-1000 skin tone is looking darker than T-800, and i think it should be the reverse, T-1000 having that pale look, and T-800 having a more darker skin tone. I think it would match the characters more, T-1000 being the "slimy-white"(like i'm :P) and T-800 being the "not slimy-white".
If i'm not mistaken Arnie has a darker skin than Robert Patrick, at last on the movie.

Well, other than that, a really amazing piece!!

Thanks for the crits, guys!

pixelbling: As chanfan says, the stiffness was intentional, at least to the degree of my capabilities, since in the original, they both were pretty stiff. Arnie got a bit stiffer after a few edits where i reduced his legs and lowered his waist, i'll take a look at his waist to see if i can work it out.
Thanks for the game names, i'll check'em out.

chanfan: Yeah, i was working on it, and right at the end, i looked and it and though "i might have overdithered this, hmm..." :). The main concern was keeping the low color usage. I'll see if i can come up with a solution to that.

alpix: The background in the original scene was very bland, and i wanted to keep the feel of the scene, so i had to work it to keep it interesting, but there wasn't much to begin with. And i couldn't find many references or watch the movie, so it got like this.
Lawrence: thanks, man, appreciate it.

mikl3: i'll look into the bg contrast. May not change it though, i think it blended well between the characters and the original.

Neatpuppy: Good point. Actually, i posted an initial version of the T800 in the pixelopolis forum, and got a few gripes that the legs were to long (totally forgot about proportions when i first made it :)), so i thickened and reduced them to this. But i agree with you, i'll take a look at it.

Haha pixelblink, no wonder Arnold might seem a bit stiff. Goddammit he's a terminator! Underneath his skin and flesh there's a robotic endoskeleton that moves with the help of hydraulic pumps and pistons. Hehe! I love this piece, however i'm not too impressed by the background. Mostly beacuse of the huge amount of dithering. I think it looks a bit to "messy". Try to lower the contrast a bit like mikl3 says. Because right now, the terminators blend in too much with the bg.

great, great , but i don't like the background but that's  just me

Ah yes, now I can see the character's lighting in context with his environment and I must says it is perfectly suited. I really like the shading on the guy on the right though. And great work with the dithering especially on the lights hitting the wall. I'm going to favourite this simply because of the excellent lighting/shading and use of colours.

Amazing! This is the best realistic pixel art I ever seen. The only problem - IMHO background is too contrast.

Looking good   No gripes here except the stiff anatomy critique by pixelblink.  Since you are using 8 head life-size figures, I'd recommend you to try and let Arnold have longer legs/higher knees/ waist line. You can stretch it a little bit without losing the 8 head anatomy realism... Right now, the legs still looks too much like downsized Mortal Kombat photo-realistic figures. (Hope that kinda makes sense..)

It reminds me of a couple old school pc games called Mean Streets & Martian Memorandum.
That aside, their poses seem a bit stiff but, all in all, it's a good scene and well executed.
