My submission for the Pixel Art Challenge: At War
Faction: Sons of Peril
"Sure the base can barely support the weight of the thing, yeah reloading's a pain, and yeah plating the entire thing with gold might fall under being a, 'wasteful use of material resources,' BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF THE THING? The thunderous crack when it fires, the titans heaving as the servos engage the loading mechanism, the sharp torrent of pressure releasing as the entire machine surges to life in an grand effort to send the next shell afar? Have you seen the face of the enemy when such a collosus is lifted into the battlefield, their confidence crumbling into panic as first shot sends shockwaves through the ground, and the rapidly falling shells whirrs oblvion into anyone who hears it? I doubt you would call it a waste if you saw what ruin it brought upon that bloody Omega battalion who keep trying to breach the border fortifications at the Pass. First shot turned their advance to ash, second sent their pathetic excuses for armour up into the sky, and the third - let's say that FOB you had been worried about is sitting at the bottom of a very, very, deep trench right now. I'm telling you sir, if you'd let me make 100 more of these things, we would have won the war already." |
