So I was suffering from artist block for a while now. I did try out a lot of different styles but nothing really worked out. I guess part of the problem was that I kept finding amazing art everywhere and decided to just imitate it. As a result I ended up creating a bunch of pictures I never considered good enough to publish even though there wasn't anything obviously wrong with them.

I have now decided to instead focus on finding my own style of doing pixel art. Going back to a limited color palette was step one. I really love the Nyx8 palette so this is what I will be using for now. I am amazed at how versatile it actual is. Working with and around a limited color palette was a ton of fun.
Next I hope to find some sort of sweet spot between detail and minimalism as well as maybe look in to more interesting compositions.
