I'm actually a fan of the no-eye thing. makes it feel dead. :/ and yeah, the bald thing. I actually don't think this would look good with hair. I could be wrong though. Truth is I've been getting back into programming, so I suppose that's a key reason I'm not pushing myself as hard as I used to, although I have been studying alot of textures lately [as I'm sure you can tell from the noticed facial  anatomy improvement]
To me the highlight of this piece is moreso the border around the face. I thought that looked cool, then again I usually can't do that kinda stuff.

I agreed that the anatomy is better, and as usual, shading and palette are great. You seem to have hit a bit of a wall, though, in certain ways (many portraits, usually bald, rarely with eyes, etc.) Good stuff, surely, but you have talent and it'd be nice to see what you could do if you pushed it.

Don't misinterpret, though, as it's a cool piece, regardless.

the anatomy of the face is better than most of your others, but why do you avoid doing eyes a lot?
