oh gosh thank you O//u//O I am quite fond of his works and striving to achieve his skill in control and level of details, but of course I believe I still have so much more to learn. I will take the compliment though 83 I just hope he won't find it as an insult! D8
thank you! :D I'm really glad it gave that impression! we would be also aiming at players who did enjoy games from that generation too OuO
thank you! OuO we'll be using Unity since my partner is currently using that for our other game in our day job. The A button is actually for the 2nd player! :D it'll be a 2-player coop metroidvania! so if 2nd player presses A, its character info will pop-out to the side, and it'll have different stuff in it because the character will be a mage (the red hair is a warrior type) :3
Besides what crecs said about Unity or Godot, I could also see this on older consoles programmed in C like PS1 or N64. Additionally, I could see it being used in OpenGL C++. Very cool mock-up, nonetheless!
That UI looks fantasic! It's very flashy, which I'm assuming is because some powerup is ready to be used or whatever by pressing A.
Got an idea for an engine to use? There is of course Unity or Godot, both of which could mean an eventual port to console, and the latter of which seems is even more straightforward for pixel art in 2D than Unity. Disclaimer that I am a fanboy of Godot.
thanks! it'll be a metroidvania incorporating a certain theme of "puzzle" into the mechanics :D I hope it'll turn out good :3
Well, cant wait to see it when you're finished!!!
hehe thx so much! :D this is gonna be part of a personal project I want to complete by the end of 2020 >:3 or at least a full functioning demo x))
Saw this on twitter a bit ago! Amazing job super well done!
thanks! :D I'm gonna be using that theme throughout certain areas of the game! ouo
