Thanks for the feedback!! I actually don't like this pixel work, I agree the colors are very flat. This image is from 2015 and I plan to rework this in the future once I have learned how to color pixel properly. 

Watch your contrast levels, be careful with subtle color variations. They tend to blend too much and make the image look flatter than what you were aiming for.
