I agree with you about the skull color, but i was afraid it would then be mistaken with a stone, or with the soil; so i went for my go to colors for skulls.

Nice little details, I especially like the dinosaur skull!

Maybe the skull could be a bit darker though since it's buried in the ground, that's my one nitpick.
