When I was a kid I used to play a lot the classic nes marios bros. I had many dreams of twisted, nightmarish version of the game. My entire vision, in the dream, was a screen scrolling in a castle, with a tiny black and red mario going forward and struggling with horrific version of the enemies from the game.
