Well this is how my fighting game will look when your'e playing it. In this round it's Jenny VS Jill! ;) Let me know what you think!

Like this, would also like to play the game, but the bars seem a litle off, I don't know how its happening and all, but looks like a fun street fighter. Get a game making program and make this a game, I mean you're very good with the animation, you already got you're backrounds. Its magnificant. 5/5.

Thanx Mykola! Yeah I know, I'll look into the UI colors a bit more.. this project is currently put on hold for now though, because I have no programmer for it  But I will soon continue with the sprites as soon as I finish some of my new pixel projects

Also, with all due respect, people who are offended by this character style need to relax. It's all about comic exaggeration, people! Jeez

Looks good. Perhaps you could added a the sloping river bank's reflection in the water, like you did with the boat.

I have to object - take it as a token comment, as it's not very relevant to critique - to the way you seem to draw women. I know I am in the minority, but I find these huge boobs, long legs, pantyshot fan-service kind of things distasteful and they put me off. I wouldn't play that game based on that, but hey, I guess you can't please everybody.

Larwick okay I see what you mean. And yes I will make portraits of the characters, I just put the sprites heads there until the portraits are finished. Yes I will try to add some AA and look into the saturation

I don't mind the interface (just throw some AA there) except for the saturation - it's nice and simple. Maybe those bars could be a bit bigger. The timer also blends with the BG too much.
One thing that bothers me is the grass in the BG - either use more advanced dithering, or don't use it at all, because right now it accomplishes almost nothing - you could just as well add another color and it'd look better.
As the whole, the mockup looks really nice - while it is not yet arcade quality, it's definitely something you could try selling (PC or mobile or something). If the animations are fluid, of course, something which I'm not able to  rate right now =)

chanfan, what jalonso means is that you should tone down the saturation of the colours in the interface. In comparison to the rest, it really doesn't match. Along with that, the comparisons of quality are quite large. The background and sprites are very pleasing on the eye, yet the interface is quite the opposite, with the random and intense colour choices, and the lack of 'good' AA in parts. You could probably do with spending a fair amount more time perfecting the interface so that it's all works together.

I think the transparency in the health bars and portraits makes it quite confusing. Are you going to make portraits of the characters? Personally i think that'd look better than a headshot.

@chanfan, I meant the colors you are using on the User Interface are too saturated for both the sprites and the background. The UI stands out too much. Bringing the colors down will make this look better.

I don't think the Ui needs intricacy. What it does need is to desaturate those colors.

Hmm, everything is so detailed, but then the interfaces are plain & flat colours. Maybe you could fancy them up to match everything else? Just some meaningless, cool extra details might be all I want from you. Even something like the cool gradient you've got behind the number would be enough.

Or whatever, there are things to be said for simple interfaces too. Your choice as always.
