Those are some client commissioned portraits I made for a SEGA themed magazine!

The idea was to make something reminiscent of Shining Force II or such oldschool Genesis games.

To achieve this effect, each portrait is limited to 16 colors max and I used Sega Genesis colors. Also I took everyone's particularities into account to personnalize things!

I tried to balance grittiness and eye-pleasing to end up with a retro look that is not too harsh on the eye. At first, when looking for inspo, I found that SF2 assets were too dithery and stylised for this project so I had to adjust style a little!
