Hello ! I really like the idea you went with, it's really cute. For the feedback, i have the feeling that you should approach colors differently. Here it looks like you picked one color for each part of the drawing and stick to it (one color by part and three values for each part, one for the "normal" color, one for the shadow, one for the light...) I think your work would improve a lot if you felt more free with your colors, do not hesitate to use same colors for different parts, etc.. For example the light green ont the top leaves might have been just the same yellow you used on the sun. Think about the way light works, how the color of the light will "touch" the object, how this will cast a shadow, what about the surface the object is on, does it reflect some light, etc...
I think you should read more about color theory and how color and lights works in painting in general and i'm sure you will improve a lot :) And nice work on the sky i really like it! Keep painting :)
Thank you so much for your feedback everyone!
Yes I definitely need to work on colour theory - the cartoony style this is in won't depict everything I envision or make my art look somewhat realistic which would be ideal if I could pull it off, but with a lot of practice.
