Luigi in the 70's...without his usual haircut. It was basically AA practice, but I couldn't get the hair right. It looks supa-crappy on light bg's, and that's why there's no transparency.

Hahhaaa... OK I have to admit it, I don't like it very much technically... But the idea is superb! And even tho the shading on the haircut isn't 'right' technically it gives it an even funkier look!

The shading of the hair is just off, it's not defining any shapes as I see it, seeing as it's an afro you can shade it much like you would a sphere.

Also IMO the idea of dithering is to create a new shade with 2 colours, but you are treating your dither as an outline when instead you should pretend it is just another shade and make it the same size as the other shades. (Pixel artists who know more about dithering than me, please slap me down if my understanding is incorrect :>)

I laughed pretty good when I saw this. but agreeing with the others, dithering is bad, makes the hair look flat.

Hahah this is great. I like the funky patterns in his hair although I think the hair's shading is a bit ambiguous.
