I was watching 2 days straight 100 Episodes of Naturo

At this morning, 9 AM I felt like makinga Portrait of Orochimaru while listening to his theme...

It took me exactly 4 Hours and 48 Minutes

I took this picture here as reverence.

I'll show you my skills.

You will see.

Elk, for being as plainly rude as you were, and the fact you didn't give credit to the original artist of the piece, seemingly to make people think you made it entirely from scratch and/or imagination, i'm sending this back. Have a nice day.

PS. If you had owned up instantly, there wouldn't be this mass of people now holding a grudge against you. Bad move.

Dra_chan (Level 8 Shodan) @ 7/28/2006 08:05

You never gave the credit to the original pic hoping that nobody would notice its a trace, and when people notice you claim you shaded it yourself when there is enough evidence that you didn't. You say you could have done it yourself, I didnt know people who know it all and are super awesome and the kings of pixels had the need to submit riped art

Mordalles (Level 1 Hired Gun) @ 7/28/2006 05:17
well, the fact that you didn't do anything here (no, you didn't really shade this, as you just traced even the shading), i think you still have a lot to learn. doing your own stuff from scratch will make you improve 100 times more. you might as well just have posted the original pic. age has nothing to do with it.

Lawrence (Level 10 Operative) @ 7/28/2006 05:14
What do you mean you "don't have to learn much more"? Learning only stops when you die. I used to play with tracing paper when I was 5 years old and even then I felt no satisfaction after tracing a drawing.

REO THE FOX (Level 8 Shodan) @ 7/28/2006 02:13

Oruchimaru one of my favorite naruto characters  Faved!

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 7/28/2006 02:12

I could have done everything by myself...

I'm still proud that I did something like that with my 15 years :]

I don't have to learn much more...

Filax_666 (Level 6 Hitman) @ 7/28/2006 01:10
I'm not as harsh as other people might be when it comes to tracing lineart (although you should've known that that "technique" is not well accepted here), but think a little bit, would you? It would have demonstrated a lot more skills (and honour) if you had done it all by yourself, wouldn´t it? Besides, if you had done everything the right way, when you had finished the picture you would have learned twice as much(and, therefore, improved twice as much) and it would have been twice as self rewarding. So, tell me, is it really worth tracing?

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 7/28/2006 00:34

Well, I didnt made it from Scratch

I took only the outlines of the reference, that's all.

Ensellitis (Level 11 Sensei) @ 7/27/2006 23:57
and?  i never said you didnt color it, but you obviously traced another picture and yet you do not say anything to the fact.  pretty mucht he same as a rip in my book especially when you act like you made it from scratch.

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 7/27/2006 23:47

Yes, really -_-

Ensellitis (Level 11 Sensei) @ 7/27/2006 21:55
really elk?

mind explaining why when i make an animation showing yours and the original switching, there is no difference?

blindfalcon, great job offending everyone.  if you would have done your homework you would have looked less like an ass.  it is his lack of effort that has been noticed.

blindfalcon (Level 1 Rookie) @ 7/27/2006 20:13
Look's like you have offended the "pixel god's" time do a mario or a mushroom, and they will probably go easier on you!  Your effort has not gone unnoticed.

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 7/27/2006 17:15

I've made it, I've shaded it.

Ensellitis (Level 11 Sensei) @ 7/27/2006 16:29
all you did was fill it in after using an eyedrop tool to get the color.  every respected person here can put this and the original into photoshop and set both trasparencies to 50% and see that it is an exact copy.  your best bet would be delete this from your gallery and start making your OWN art, and maybe one day you can get your rep back

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 7/27/2006 14:45

In fact I've painted it all myself ;]

There are some things that are not in the picture I "used"

-DE- (Level 11 General) @ 7/27/2006 11:59
Your dithering killed the cell-shading. Baaad boy =)

Shark (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 7/27/2006 11:07

halfDemon (Level 6 Hitman) @ 7/27/2006 11:01

I was gonna fave this one, too. But Lawrence saves the day!

Dra_chan (Level 8 Shodan) @ 7/27/2006 08:08
I was going to fave it, then I read Lawrence's post.

Lawrence (Level 10 Operative) @ 7/27/2006 08:01
Were you using this picture as a reference? In the future please say whether or not a reference has been used and whether you've directly traced over it, like you have done here. Since this is a direct trace, I'm sorry but I'm not really impressed. Sorry for being blunt.
