I've had this piece sitting around almost finished for who knows how long. Decided to finally call it done.

I play D&D regularly with a group of co-workers and this is a scene from our first ever play session. Taking place in the Forgotten Realms, I played a dwarf wizard and our party was sent down into newly excavated sewer tunnels under Daggerford to quell a kobold rebellion. The campaign was finished over a year ago already, but I wanted to pay homage to it in the style reminiscient of the old rpgs of the 80's and 90's using the EGA palette.

There's a lot of influence from the Gold Box games as well as both the Eye of the Beholder and Realms of Arkania series. I always felt the Gold Box games could use a proper isometric battle map and a more icon oriented UI instead of tons of text.

God, I'm a sucker for pixel UIs. Good balance between being textures and being readable. Portraits for the characters are obviously lit.
