First things first - you need to reupload the piece at 1x resolution. (Pixeljoint has a built in zoom feature.)
I like the character itself, and I think the action of the piece is very good and very readable at this size. I think you could go further with the motion, though - perhaps have the body/torso move down a pixel alongside the head, to emphasize the slam downwards? I also am not quite sure why the golem's "toes" shift ever so slightly during the animation but not the feet.
