I made this to show Lawrence and other people my real skills because of my last "mistake" making a tracing.

This pixelart took me ~12 Hours (worked 6 hours a day nonstop)

This Is how I made it ^^

please don't tell people you have skills or you can do this or that. just do it, and prove it. covering large areas with dithering isn't really what i would call skill. the skill lies in covering those large areas with detailed texturing. like previously mentioned, things like fur. the feet are all on different height levels, as if he is sitting on a very uneven terrain. and the angle of his back left (our left) paw is very strange, again, as if he is sitting on some strange non-horizontal platform. the front left paw looks like an exact copy of the right front paw.

lastly, this looks familiar?

Let me start by saying, nice.

I sorta disagree with some of these guys on that eye. It looks seperate from the face. The face/head itself looks flat due to the fact that the nose is cut in by the skull. What I mean is that you have angled the ears but tried to make a profile view of the head, which just makes the rest of the body posture look strange. The ear blends into the nek etc.

Its really nice dethering but the problem being that you should of invested more time into the line art. And then concepting the lighting, this only comes from understanding the shape of the body and the source of light.

Further the back leg (back right is also wierd) and the top ear is very strange. (Where is its origin) ?

Hope you understand what I mean with all of this.

Lovely, just lovely... especially that eye.

I would however like to seem some fur texturing, instead of just the whole thing being dithered, although the dithering done is quite nice. As for the outline, it just doesn't seem to fit; I would either remove it, or thicken it. If removed, I suggest some AA.

Awesome. Looks like espyon?

I really like this, but the left ear doesn't match the right. Other then that, it's great.

Pretty cool, I feel like your outline is out of place. I'd say make it thicker, or just remove it. I also feel like you could have done more to the ear, since it's seems pretty plain.

It also looks like a Pokemon. :P Not that that's bad or good.

I like what you did with its eye best though, the colors work well together.

Yea I know :]

I can do that aswell but well

I'm not that patient yet to do something like that... (lazy)

Sorry if I sounded harsh on your other piece. This is not bad at all. My immediate thoughts regarding this are that if you have something this big, the scope in which you can focus on texture detail is massive. And in this case that would mean rendering the actual fur instead of just dithering the surface. Here are some examples you might benefit from studying:

Shark (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 7/29/2006 04:02
Its ok - but all it really is is dither.  I think its cool you put so much effort into it - but with a smaller piece you can get more details in.  Good skills anyhow.

a few things about this bother me, mostly the tail, the back ear, and something about the nose & mouth, possibly abit too much dither, IMO. back hind leg looks out of perspective as well. other than that it's quite nice. I like the fur texture on the chest and jaw alot.
