Next I'm trying to do a piece containing two or three different metallic objects. Just for training purposes.

I would keep an eye on when and where you use dithering. It looks nice on the foam, but on the boat itself it doesn't quite work. Metallic textures want bolder, simpler shading with direct contrast between colors - this thread offers some good reference material.

Oh wow, that works really well with the shape of the canvas, well done!
