EDIT: Yep. I accidentally posted my first iteration. It's the right one now! In addition to the eye shiny, I also fixed up where the ruff petals meet the head in this version. Thank you for the feedback!

Hm, interesting - I like the design, although I suppose it's not very "rosy." I kind of like the lack of outlines, too. I guess my problem is that it's not very expressive? It's tricky to get an "expression" on a creature like this with minimal facial features and not real body to speak of, I know, but even if there was a twinkle in its eye or something that might give it more personality.
