Great choice of having a cast shadow on the background. It really adds some 'mmph' to the image if that makes sense.

Hey, I like this a lot - but I sort of wonder if the dithering isn't a little excessive. In particular the massive regions of checkerboards for the lightest skin tone is slightly distracting.
