I swear I get worse with each piece I upload. Hopefully Pixelween 2020 will be just what I need.
Anyway, for some reason I've been watching all of Charlie Chaplin's films chronologically this year (tip: ignore the Keystone and Essanay ones if you value your sanity because they are awful) so the boxing scene in City Lights came to mind for this challenge. I tried to emulate the look of the original Punch-Out!! sprites although I did shade the shorts because they looked too boring as a mass of black pixels.
Drawn for the 21st September 2020 Be Like Mike weekly challenge.
