One day I had this idea to draw something really small... To make something as small as possible, so I made this little street, the size is just enough to stick little people in, even make them play basketball. That's it.

I've never done anything like this before so I don't know how well it turned out. Go ahead and kick my butt :D

I really like the bricks, stairs, and background.

A perfect creation for those who want to learn how things look when you make them smaller.. i mean ppl like me..

2Rodder: by middle ground you mean the foremost buildings, right? Probably :D All I know is when I tried adding more detail on top of what you see here, it became sort of distracting, going over the top... Maybe it was just my perception :D

I'm glad that everyone seems to like the atmospheric perspective, I really wasn't that confident about it!

I actually would like to see more details on this. Nothing big, just more textures and shading, or atleast more variety in the textures/shades you have already. Also the middle-ground buildings are close enough that you should use an outline for contrast. You could also randomly change the brightness of the windows on those buildings, again for variety. Just for the middle ground though, cause you have some great fog/atmospheric perspective. Still it's nice work!

Thanks very much guys!

2Azrael: Yes I get what you're talking about.. That was done intentionally.. You know, how some houses have a bigger 1st floor than the rest of floors, that's what i did here.. Especially on the right building..

I think this piece is so great. It has so many details and things going on. Zooming is a must. Simple pixelart can be so awesome. This is that and more. fav'd

i did something similar to this for mini games bg for my company project, very good detail, but something bothering me ( i'll try to explain but i'm sorry if you don't really understand, english isn't my native language) the 2nd stories and up of the residential building height is shorter than the 1st one, if you place your char sprite to that fire exit ladder you'll notice that

I love the minimalistic effect you've created.  Plenty of detail for its size, but not enough to look crowded.  Keep it up.  You have to zoom to really appreciate it.
