Narrative:
Francine had never known any friends or family other than her reclusive father. His death left her lost and confused, until she received an ornate letter from his estranged family. It was an invitation to a magnificent party in their ancestral home.
As she walked up to the aged manor, she couldn't help but feel uneasy. It was home, yes. But sometimes home is the most unfamiliar place of all.

Description:
Whew! This was a doozy to make. Landscapes are well out of my comfort zone and I had to draw and redraw this scene more times than I can count! All in all, though, I'm quite satisfied with the result.
This is my entry for the Pixelween challenge, under the prompt "an unfamiliar place." |
nice stuff, i like how you did the creative sky banding. Looks a pretty comfortable landscape to me !
