A crack appears...
The moment the first drop of blood fell on the salt, there was a bright flash. Instinctively, she closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them, she saw a robed skeleton standing by the large mirror in the corner of the room.
"Spirit, have you come to guide me?" she asked, attempting to retain her composure despite her racing heartbeat.
The skeleton nodded its head slowly.
"I seek enlightenment," she continued. "What must I do next?"
The skeleton slowly raised its arm to the mirror and, as its hand came level with the reflection of her face, the mirror cracked loudly across the middle...

My second Pixelween 2020 submission.
The overall concept I've come up with is partly inspired by the 2009 album Embryonic by The Flaming Lips. This piece once again draws inspiration from the films of Dario Argento; particularly Inferno.
The wallpaper is based on this reference image.
