I'm with Lawerence on this. Lovely tho it is, its not 100% pixelart.

the hair could be done better with 3 or 4 colors, in fact, it looks like thats what you did and then you just burned it.. it would fit in with the rest better too if left as jsut regular pixelwork...  but i like the rest of the character.  head makes me think of acorns

this character is ace...I would like to see him animated or a much bigger scene with him in. Could totally imagine him in an RPG.

Great piece, but with such high contrast, I don't think it needs 523 colours. Most of them simply cannot be distingushed at 800% zoom let alone 100% zoom. Technicalities aside, it's not bad though, I just wouldn't strictly call it pixel art since NPA tools have obviously been used.
