Nice tree!

I would advice you to use less colors. Making this tree with only 6-8 colors will make it much easier to learn all the pixel art techniques and also allows you to easily adjust your palette later on.

The shape of the leaves is nice, but the trunk is a bit stiff and has an odd base, maybe look at some reference photos to find a more organic shape.
