So awesome to have you here, G! Love this!
Your wife has a good sense of character design and your skill brings this to life. I really like this.
A jasky piece? In the PJ gallery? Awesome! I like the turquoise highlight in the palette
Great job!
The lighting on the chest looks a bit random
I wonder if this picture is the equivalent to that theory about words being understood as long as only the first and last letter are in order, with everything else samcrbeld up. The 'black' outline and next-darkest colour work on the hat; the skin tone and skin shadow tone work on the face and arms; the band on the hat seems to be a nice shiny material; the hair and eyes have highlights. Most everything else feels like a big palette-swap jamboree, but it doesn't feel like there's a single element glaringly out of place, more like a mixture of elements that are 'properly'/'classically' conveyed and elements that are abstracted, and the two work in a sort of harmony. Either I'm on the money with this idea or I'm going to try it myself in a future work and be dreadfully wrong about it.
