Hey! Yeah, it took a while. About 8 hours on and off. I did some some productive copying, but yeah a huge amount was just performed by plotting pixel by pixel to build the intricate designs.Honestly, the triangles were less work than the border despite them looking more complex just because I had to hand-pixel the curve of that corded pattern.
The four symbols I wanted some stuff that felt mystical so four of them are 6-pointed stars (I wanted to avoid the traditional pentagram as a personal challenge), and the others are a combination of alchemical symbols, an astrological symbol and an original symbol inspired from arabic.
Good eye on the darker pixels. The whole thing goes on a night-sky background and so those were left in to blend with it. I didn't feel right using transparency here for them just because it would have introduced a new color (The transparent sections are normally just the darker cyan). But yeah, I totally worked on a darker background to help for readability.
Hope that clears things up!
How long did it take you to put this together? Even doing a single half of one of the triangles and copypasting it, that half still has a lot of intricate linework that had to be put together. Ditto the blocks forming the circular border around the whole graphic.
There's an inner circle of symbols, four of which are pentagrams and the other two are signs I don't know the origin of meaning of. The point being, the top two signs have stray black pixels on their outline. I'm assuming you worked on a darker background for this picture initially, then set it to transparent afterwards?
