You've got a blue skin tone for this fairy, and the next colour that's lower down in brightness, that is placed next to this tone, has a very strong contrast against it. But then there are pairs of colours placed together that have next to no contrast at all, making me wonder what the point was in pairing them regularly across the picture. Some of them seem like anti-aliasing to bridge two colours, but they lean too heavily towards the darker colour in the equation. I've uploaded a picture to try and get across what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/9He9Lj8.png
Can you explain the working process that lead to this palette? I can respect artists having their own personal preference for conveying rendering of form, but I can't connect the dots from conception to finished project here.
I like the 16px version best, interesting take!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Really appreciate.
Uhm... the new version is here: https://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/137680.htm
Steven M - I've tried to change the color scheme and... i think now is better! So, thanks for calling me out on that topic. But you gave me to much credit, man. Im trully just experimenting and going with the flow, at least on this project. The ideia was really just trying to use dark colors, and see what i could do with it. The answer, a mess hehe. I think that zoomed in, it kinda worked, but 100x100 (100% zoom) it got really murky... so hope the newer version is a better one.
Christoballs: Man, thanks. hehe I'm glad you liked the 16x16px version.
