It's funny, I didn't even aim for Metal Slug ... I was trying to aim for Final Fantasy 6 style. Guess I failed horribly there huh? Heh, thanks for the comments guys, means a lot.
Very Metal Slug-esque. I would love to see a .GIF of it. I zoomed in and can't find any problems; it is very well-done in the sense of lineart, coloring, and shading. I also like the absence of an overabundance of dithering, providing a sleek surface. Most feel an obligation to use the said technique and lots of it, and in most situations, far more is used than required. Wonderful piece, 5/5.
