Yeah, I had trouble making transparency on it and I had to use another color.
But, with the mockup, I don't know if you knew this or not(I might just be misinterpreting) but the colors were limited. So I couldn't have a background outline and stay under the limit.

Oh yeah sorry to double post . But having looked at your other preview of this game mockup I noticed something else. Try to keep all of your outlines a similar level of bright/dark to each other. Background lines can be lighter tho to make objects appear set back, and to bring main sprites forward.
I dont think its too bad. The sprite is so simple that you cant rally go that much wrong. All I an point out is that he flicks forward before he stops in one frame. His eyes also flick to white for a nano second. Try to keep your shading either one side or the other aswell (the shading shud always hit the same point when animating). The only other piece of advise I can give is to 'keep practicing' and 'challenge yourself'....hope that might be some help to ya...
