Lovely piece. Great use of negative space. I love how the black of the trees blends with the water, and then having the clear reflection to accentuate that it is water is such a beautiful touch. The lighting is so stark, kind of gives of the feel of a flash photo which gives it this eerie quality. Great composition as well, with that more open part of the woods creating depth.

Can't express how much I love this. So soft and diaphanous, and such an original way to light and compose it. It is hard to believe it is 24 colors. I love how you knocked down the brightness of the reflection by one shade, and the way the grass tapers off into darkness on the right is just gorgeous.
Beyond the technique, it's just a beautiful piece of art. A sense of stillness, and eerie, sacred mystery just radiates from it. As Theoden mentioned, Princess Mononoke comes to mind, and yet this image has a character all of its own.
