I decided to practice my skills by doing some seiken densetsu 3 style sprites. More for the shading rather than character design. Although the running animation was partially inspired by secre of mana's overexaggerated running. I opted to do it a little smoother however.
Also, let it be known that I did these with a max size of 24x32 and max frames of 3. So any c&c you have other than what I just mentioned is welcome.

i think there is a little confusion with the front facing, i thought that he was walking upwards while looking to his left. not sure how to fix it besides making his right eye look less like an ear, and making his chest look less lie his back
