Dude holy shit.
THIS IS AMAZING!
Honestly you say all these things in your description yet you managed to kill this piece in such a good way that in every asepct you've managed to pull off a beautiful piece.
I liked what you did with your last piece and now I'm convinced you got real talent behind you. I can see this getting into the PJ Hall of Fame eventually. Don't humble yourself you earned bragging rights on this without a doubt!
Keep up the awesome work Wyndoella.
Awesome. It looks like if a psychedelic rock album cover from the 70s and a pinball machine had a prodigy child.
Oh whoa, this is so exciting! Such an interesting and well made piece!
omg.. the amount of work put into this is insane! Great job
this piece is absolutely amazing! i can tell a staggering amount of work went on this. your passion is something that many of us can relate to on this site, i'm sure. :) i hope to see more work from you!
Definitely love myself some magic. Theres too little wonder in art today. Part of why i make it the way i do.
Focal points are definitely not my thing. I like to make my pieces like those old puzzle boxes with insanely detailed motives. I see my stuff more as a treasure hunt, which is why it doesnt get much attention on social media. You kinda have to stop and look and search which is the point (one reason i limited myself to pixel art otherwise it probs draw every single atom lol). Doesnt work that great on insta and twitter for sure.
And yeah regarding the whole color thing. Im just unsure man. Pixeljoint seems like a pretty chill place. But like everyone else i talk to for some reason play this place up to be the scary super villain of the pixel art community where everypiece has to be flawless and on the top of its game. Never really understood but i do have some caution since i dont really understand the community but the surface aspect of it.
Probably will. My next piece is a 600x900 something like that for my 300k-ish word book i wrote in a year. Its gonna have a refined palette, but feature the same style mostly.
Lol dont get my hopes up. I appreciate it. Theres alot of godly art posted this month though. But like i said, my art doesnt get much attention. Its niche. But i do like the sentiment a lot!!!
Great job! I love the retro style in both the colours and rendering. The flames, for example, are maybe not how I would pixel them. But they remind me very much of early 90's pixel art, like the game Loom. And like you say, Heroes of Might and Magic 2. You've really done a great homage to that vibrant style.
I hope you keep posting. We need more like this. :)
This is fascinating, I keep zooming in to find detail after detail! Absolutely beautiful use of color, and I wouldn't worry too much about the relatively high color count, especially for a drawing as intricate as this. You seem eager to improve, so even if you're not satisfied with some aspects of the image, I have no doubt that you'll improve in all of those areas quickly
Oh my god. Amazing piece of work. Very well done, love the contrast and amount of detail in this.
