Very nice scene. As a counter argument, I don't mind the look of the sky but I think it might gel better if the tree had greater contrast and a darker green shade in there (although without checking, that may also mean the colours at the bottom of the image need changing).
What I really like about this is the shape of the figures–slightly elongated and elegantly curved. They really do look otherworldly.
Thanks. The colors don't quite work, you're right. Thinking about it I'm very tempted to tint the foreground landscape colours red, so the lighting is actually a sunset from the left hand side with the light emanating from the apples as a secondary light source.
Really nice! The saturation of the sky is a bit much for me, and overall the piece seems a bit dark for such a nice day. But maybe that was intentional. Lovely motif and composition though.
@SeDiceBisonte Thanks for the feedback. Deepening the dark green is a big help. I've also been trying out a few things with turning all the foreground light colours slightly more orangey. I think it works? It adds a couple extra colors. I'm going to think about it before doing anything drastic like updating the gallery image (it seems a little weird updating it at this point).
