@Cyangmou: Thanks, man! Hope you're doing well too! I haven't been posting for years but I've still been lurking and keeping an eye on things from time to time. I notice you and many others have improved tremendously in the meantime and the skill level on PJ is quite intimidating now. I've also seen the games you worked on and the PJ interview, which were great. Speaking of which - how's the book coming along?
Wow you improved so much since the first pieces I saw from you. Great work. Nice depth and really cool clouds :)
@Gravista: Thanks! It is indeed! Good catch. Not my idea but I will take credit anyway!
Wow, this is so great!! So many great details. Love the ice buildup on the wagon. And is that cold breath coming out of the bison's nostrils? :)
@Siskan: Thanks for the compliments! I got some feedback about telling a story visually and it really opened my eyes. Something I will work on in the future.
Fantastic piece! Very well done, composition, background etc. I also love it when art makes you curious and this one does in many ways, especially the carriage.
@Mandrill: Too kind, buddy! Thanks for the nice words. Been a few years since we were both submitting at the same time, so I'm stoked about that!
Uhh, there's gonna be snow! This is very impressive. Great colours, tight pixelling and a convincing sense of depth.
The wagon is fantastic, really sells it for me.
Very nice! I was following this on Pixelation and it's really satisfying to see the final version. The composition is lovely and the colours really convey the cold, crisp feeling.
At this point I think everyone got a lot better since meeting up. There have been many games I worked on indeed in the meanwhile. The book I was mostly writing while travelling to conventions, since that came drastically to a halt and the gamedev industry kinda is on a boom since the covid lockdowns I have been too busy with projectwork. But at least in the meanwhile I could practice some parts I wrote with actual students and I see how well some things work and how others don't really work. I don't know when I have time or will make the time to continue. Juggling pojectwork, personal work and life is challenging.
