Nice avatar! I think the thing that stands out to me is the nose (no pun intended) and the shadow around the eyes. Check out some reference photos and try to study the shadows. It seems a bit strange to have such detailed shadows around the cheeks, jaw and forehead, but a nose that is represented with a few very dark lines. :)
