That might be the problem there, I was working with some pretty strict limitations... (also, I kinda like to design my art to be viewed at a large scale...) As an alternative, I have a non-BG variant of this with instead green colors to make the details more high-vis.

This might look differently on your screen than mine, but I can hardly make out the  difference between the dark greys and I'm not quite sure how to read this image. It seems to have fangs and yellow eyes like a monster, but I can't quite make it out. Perhaps more contrast would help the viewer understand the shape? :)
