Glad to hear you made a return to art after such a break. Lovely work and beautiful colors, it's a huge upgrade over the original!
Thanks, Flinigan! Looking at it now, I think it could do with some more colours to make it really pop. I'm glad you like what's there, though!
Yes, I love a bit of late nineteenth century art. You've really captured the feel of it, here.
At least this time I won't ditch art again. Seriously, what was wrong with me?
Thanks so much for the compliment and for the help. I wish I'd had more time to address everything you and fskn raised. At least I'm free of deadlines now so I can keep working on whatever my next project is for as long as it takes!
Thanks so much, amberMechanic! I know Waterhouse isn't strictly a Preraphaelite, but do you also have an interest in their work (and the work of related artists)? Just wondering based on your Beguiling of Merlin piece, and the style of some of your originals.
Awesome piece and really cool to read the story behind this remake. Can't wait for the 2034 version of this.
This is amazing pixel art. The shading on the trees and bushes and the reflections on the water on their own are just great, let alone the work on the figure. Really inspiring stuff.
Fantastic palette! I find myself pretty lost in the details, in a good way. Lovely work :)
@Wayuki: This is a really late reply, but thank you so much! It felt really good to put this to rest, even if I did feel I rushed it to meet my PixelJoint anniversary. I don't think I'll try to do anything special for my second year!
