Since I was very little I have liked this type of mask. In fact, this is my favorite when it comes to masks.
I have been making this mask since yesterday, so I tried to make the illustration as well as possible.
Curious fact about this mask: It was used during the spread of the Black Death to avoid contagion among the doctors of the time. However, the elongated beak was thus used to place aromatic herbs and thus counteract the odors derived from patients with Plague and avoid ´´Miasma´´ (harmful effluvium that gives off diseased bodies, decomposing materials or stagnant water). Furthermore, at the time, the Black Plague was believed to be divine punishment. |
