Weekly Challenge: Oldschool Self-Portrait
@Hapiel It does feel a bit of a music poster you're right but I was thinking 60s at the time. I'd be happy with Abba though!
@SeDiceBisonte I was definitely thinking 60s psychedelic images borrowed from art noveau when I was making it.
@Christoballs Thanks! The animation was going to be the final thing but then I decided the still image was better and I kept the animation for the preview.
I don't know what exactly it is about your expression and colors and background, but I feel like you could be in Abba or some other 70s band!

Great piece! Really digging your use of EGA. The animated preview is the cherry on top, with its shimmering eyes and expressive eyebrows. 
Very nice. Great use of the colours. I like the very sparing use of black just to accentuate some parts as well.
And lovely clusters in the hair too.

I second the use of blue as the main shadows being really great!
It's reiterating what I said on Discord, but I also love the use of blue as the main shadow colour. The large blocks of colour remind me of a screen print, as does the trippy pattern in the background. I get a strong late 60s psychedelic poster vibe from this piece!
@zombieMode I ended up with the blue shadows so I could sneakily add a few black accents for the bits where I really needed it.

Awesome job!! I love the big shadow shapes, gives it a very atmospheric feeling, especially with the darkest being blue and not black. Super cool background too!
