Being high up in the sky the air and atmosphere would be cold but the sunlight is nice and warm. 
Great to hear that you overcame your artblock, burnout and lack of motivation, and I'm glad you focused on finishing this. I love the scene. Castles above the clouds is something I've been pixelling since 2011, and I'm excited to see it in this style. 
Lovely colors! Dunno if I'm making sense here, but it reads as "cold air, warm sunlight" to me.
