@SeDiceBisonte thanks. Yes. That's something I wanted to get from the Klimt's 'Kiss', how all the detail recedes into texture and the central focus is actually a very strong simple image. I think I was leaning quite a bit on tonal contrast with this one though. 

I love the lighting and the colours, and I really love the way the focal point is partly denoted by being simpler rather than more detailed, which is the opposite of what you'd expect but which works incredibly well here. I can't really articulate it, but I think it helps to add emotion to the piece.

i love klimt, but i feel a bit of influence of mucha here ;]
