No need to be sorry. The artwork is very good. The glare effect on the weapon, for instance, is very effective. And I wanted to clarify one thing since there are exceptions of everything, especially when typed in a hurry :) If you have the eyes of the monster in the dark, and you want to make them stand out, using a separate colour only for those two pixels, in only one frame, has a very good reason. The Image Spec Tool will show that those are used for less than 0,1% but it's justifiable, and actually a very well example of control and deliberate decision in pixel placing.
Thank you for your time gawrone!
Palette control is something I want to work to improve, indeed. I started with something like 20 colors. After that my clumsy hand began to pick colors from the color picker out of habit and all gone messy. And you're right, I wanted to add a halo effect and I added transparency layers.
I started a topic to talk about this (i'm sorry to post this in gallery before that). I'm going to work on these corrections and I'll put the progress here: https://pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=27186
Let's do it! Thank you :)
This looks beautiful. I would like to ask you to work on your palette control and replace the file when you fix it. You have 238 individual colours, and many of them are almost indistinguishable, and should be unified. You can find the rarest colours used only for one or two pixels in one frame (probably an effect of semi-transparent layers used for light. All the details here
That's a good thought, I'll keep it in mind.
I've upload a new version (without animation) with only 20 colors in the WIP forum. I find terrible to decide put off colors from there (in case it had to be 16). Next I'll try to edit the animation.
Thanks again!
