It's good, and I agree that the palette could be much smaller, but you've managed to get a lot of nice detail in there. I think a little higher contrasts on the reds and on the hair would make this a lot more exciting; shinier highlights on both.

lol I'm so used to coloring with multiple shades that are close together.. I really don't know why :[

I think 38 colours is too much for something like this. Some of the colours are so close together I literally couldn't tell the different with my naked eye, especially with the shades in the skin.

There are 2 pixels-worth of a shade of red on the headband; the only 2 pixels that colour is used for, despite it being very similar to the other shades of red.

You could also tweak the palette so that for the lips you could reuse some of the reds from the rest of the piece, instead of having a unique colour.

Sorry for being so picky, it's a good piece on the whole.
