Wow, someone who actually knows what a chinook is!  I live in the foothills of the Rockies, so we get them regularly.  Great emotion and atmosphere in this piece, and excellent colour choices!

I cannot believe I've missed this piece. It's superb. The palette for the character is brilliant, and the animation is expertly done.

I just love how you base your art around a story/ fable.

@sedgemonkey: Well, I started with the idea of moving clouds, but that was way too many frames you said, and now I realize how static they are, so I'll simply remove them.

She looks like my favourite actress too, milla . Great interpretation and pixelling.

C'es genial; je l'aime! I think the animation on the hair is amazing; it's random enough to look real and organic, and yet it's not so chaotic as to look sloppy or haphazard.

After looking at it again the only thing I would like to see is the clouds moving in the background.
Hmm, that would probably balloon the file size because you'd need to add a ton of frames to get a nice slow movement.

If the Sun is really that high then her breasts shouldnt be that shaded also other parts or her body :P

The sky gets lighter near the horizon and darker near the top because the atmosphere is blue, and when you look upward, you're looking through less amount of atmosphere so you see less blue and more black (colour of outer space behind it). When you look closer to the horizon there is more atmosphere between you, and outer space, so it is less dark. Here are some photos to illustrate:

@Lawrence: I'm not good drawing landscape, and I suffered dithering this sky, but I did it with the idea that the sun was high in the sky, so the dithered gradient is, in my opinion, in the right position. But I may be wrong. If you could take the time to explain me what is exactly wrong and how to correct it, I'll love that.
@Elk: I did though about her, but then I googled pictures and think that you right about it ;-)
@Filax_666 : For sure it's perfectible, and the main mistake I made, was to draw her with 4 colors first and then drawing the background adding greens and blues, and then realising that I could reuse some of those colors to improve the model.

A few comments: the rotating part doesn't seem a perfect circle and it's a bit jumpy.

Great overall. I only dislike the clouds in their shape and position.

Excellent work! The animation is great and the shading on her is very good, but the thing I noticed was that the sky should be darker near the top and lighter near the horizon. Great work though.
