Very creepy. The combination of the image and the title suggests a supernatural element that isn't explicitly in the picture, and I think that's scarier than outright showing something otherworldly and terrifying. There's also a sadness here which is reminiscent of some very frightening Japanese horror films (thinking particularly of The Grudge).
Gives me strong "Let's scare Jessica to death" vibes, but also reminiscent of the giallo era.
The water filling up the title is a nice touch!
i love the fact this isn't a portrait like the most other pieces. and the water with waterlilies is amazing!
