A small rumour openly told.
Sometime after a year, rumours emerged about the woods that lay near.
Some men would swear, at night the shadow of a man was lurking there.
‘'Some should go and see, if these murmurs are true!’’ And all men and women agreed.
But before anything else could be said, an old man silenced all as he raised the hilt of an axe above his head.
The old woodsman claimed that he, by himself, wanted to go, as there was something he needed to know.
The next day, with the moon high in the sky, he bid his final goodbye.
