First she takes your life, then she takes your wife.

Now that the series is finished, I'd like to share a bit about the concept behind Jane.

Jane is a 'Jane Doe' at first glance. She shows up appearing deceased in various locations. What isn't normal about this Jane Doe is that she isn't a victim. She may not even be human. Her method of feeding is to lure unsuspecting people, whether police, concerned strangers, etc, to get close to her. You know the rest :)

Jane will kill and consume her victims if the circumstances suit her. If she is likely to leave witnesses, she will not kill, and stop feigning dead. This is to protect her identity and make sure her future victims are unsuspicious.

By the third movie, critics of Jane believe the series well and truly jumped the shark :P
