Nice work, very old school! Also, Lockwood makes some awesome dragons
@Trigonomicon: Thanks, that's cool of you to say! I'm sure I've made a lot of mistakes but I'll get it right for the 2031 version.
@Wayuki: Yeah, the seperation of foreground and background was something I tried to get help with on Discord. It's a bit busy now, in detail and in color. The original is easier to look at, the new one is more for the LSD crowd.
@yuanhai: Thanks, I'm glad you commented on that. I was worried about going overboard with the scales, but I just couldn't stop.
@gawrone: HoMM3 is naturally the better game, but the aesthetic, pixel art and mood of HoMM2 is... <chef's kiss>
it reminds me so much the old school fantasy art ! good job
Absolutely amazing! Whatever mistakes you're making nowadays, I sure can't spot them.
@gawrone I still dip back into Heroes 2 for nostalgia purposes (and it still looks/sounds great) but I can't deny that 3 is simply a better game so can't blame you.
Very nice scene! I kind of like the color scheme of the improved 2011 version though. It has clearer foreground/background separation.
I've started from HoMM3 and saw no point in going back to HoMM2 (I'm sure this was totally wrong idea), but I would say hydras.
Wow! Fantastic development! It's really nice to see a comparison of how far you've come.I really like the details in this version, with the light effect on the clouds in the background and that little adorable sheep.
Thanks, Theoden! That's high praise indeed! I actually had a friend who thought titans were cooler than dragons in HoMM2. We're no longer on speaking terms, obviously.
Very nice progress. The final image is really good. Reminds me of the dragon from Might & Magic games.
Thanks, Asfodelo! Indeed he does!
